So, what should I say?
Yes, I so
used this to waste a purrrrfect day (okay, that one was bad) I better should have spent learning. Shame on me...
I firstly wanted to write something like "who can guess all of them get's a free cat-version of one of their OC!" but there are two reasons speaking against this:
(1) my cats suck.
(2) they suck even more than I thought.
Oh, and I don't think that more than one person knows all of them. *cough*
Not drawing cats again anytime soon. I knew I'm not good at them but this is just too much. The anatomy is completely off and I spent more time reading tutorials than actually drawing. But I spent hours on it, so I'm going to upload it anyways. Also, I want to free fella. And get a batch or whatever it it you get for submitting your picture.
(But I think I should try drawing ferrets. Half of my cats look like them anyways...)
So long and thanks for all the fish,
Characters depicted and the crappy sketches are (c) by myself, ~Schneemaehne
(EDIT: And I now have this song stuck in my head... again...[link]
["Mungojerry and Rumpelteazer" from the musical Cats])
(EDIT 2: :devKarne_de_Saintclaire: solved the riddle, but I will let it stay this way a few more days. Then I'll add an overview which cat is which character and also why they look like they look^^)
The naming of cats... okay, I should stop referencing to this musical.
From left to right and in rows:
He actually looks more like a canine than a feline being. Well, my fault. I would imagine him as an old scruffy tomcat with all of his scars showing through the thick dark fur. His ears are also torn and he misses a part of his tail. I'm sure mothers would tell their kids "not to tough the ugly cat" or something^^'
My first thought was drawing her as a Savannah Cat (she actually owns one in some RPGs), but I decided against it and made her something like a blue patched tabby. Or whatever this weird color is called. She has her scars showing off, too, but is way more lean and graceful than the Khaleigh-cat ever could be. A wicked small lady. The bell is inspired by a scene from the book "Die Rache der Zwerge" in which Rodario suggests Narmora and Ondori to wear little bells around their ankles so they would stop sneaking around in the shadows and scaring him to death. (Narmora is a mixture between Alb and human, Ondori a fullblood Alb).
(3) Aylas brothers
Twins, to be exact. They are arrogant, sly, and just enjoy blood and causing hatred as normal people would enjoy a family picnic in the park. I imagined them as two lean and sneaky tomcats, always keeping near each other. Kinda like those two evil siamese cats in "The Lady and the Tramp". Just way more brutal. The necklaces are made of Tionium and should suggest their affection for meddling with dark forces/black magic.
Something positive! Farinn would be the always-purring sweetheart, never angry but always begging for a drop of milk or the likes. His coat is pale and cream-colored, resembling his light skincolor and blond hair.
(And of course there is a horse near by. No Farinn without horses...)
Actually, that's the only sketch I like. Drawingwise. Saranga most likely would keep her eye-catching reddish hair, so she turned into a ginger tabby. With a lovely rich and thick fur and a sweet little golden coin as collar. After all she fancies money a lot. And I simply couldn't resist giving her a golden earring, too - my little thief lady^^
(6) Yarash (Yash)
Yes, the youngest of them. I really could imagine him as a playfull kitten, maybe a bit clumsy but the little cuddly-wuddly-cat of everybody. His coat is kinda inspired by Pan (his horse companion) and Tumblebrutus/Pouncival of the "Cats"-musical.
Well... Nanit would surely one of these regular-looking cats nobody hardly notices. Muddy-brown fur, small and slim, nothing extra-ordinary. The only detail I just couldn't leave out is the falcon-tattoo. After all, being one of the scouts is everything her life is about.
Last but not least out little princess. I don't think I have to explain a lot about this one^^
